Winter Wonderland whipped soap is a simple, beginner-friendly recipe: one pound of foaming bath butter, whipped until fluffy, with a touch of teal green and a fun fragrance. How to Make Whipped Soap

1. Whip the Base

Put a pound of foaming bath butter in a stand mixer and whip it for about 6–10 minutes, until it’s light and fluffy.

2. Add Color and Fragrance

Stop the mixer and add the fragrance and a little teal green mica. You don’t need much for a soft color. Fold it in, scrape the sides, then whip about 3 more minutes on medium.

3. Fill the Piping Bag

Fit a piping bag with a 1M tip. Its larger opening works well with thick whipped soap. Find where the tip ends, mark it, then cut so it fits snugly.

4. Pipe into Jars

Set the jars on a silicone mat (or tape them down) so they don’t slide, and pipe in swirls.

5. Finish

Add soap shavings or glitter on top if you like, then put on the lids. A little goes a long way in the shower.

Tips & What I Learned

  • Use a stand mixer. Thick foaming bath butter is hard on hand mixers.
  • Whip about 10 minutes. It gets much fluffier.
  • Scrape the bowl. Color and fragrance can stick to the sides.
  • Use a 1M tip. It handles thick soap well.
  • Keep additives low. Adding lots of oils or extras may require an extra preservative.

Troubleshooting

The soap is too thick to pipe. Whip it longer, or scoop it into jars instead.

The color is streaky. Fold it in by hand, then whip again.

The jars slide around. Use a silicone mat or tape them down.
