Hi everyone, this is Anna from Koala Soap
0:16
And today we're going to be making a soap in our silicone mold
0:21
It's going to be called Baby's Breath. We're going to be using 4 ounces of shea butter melt and pour
0:26
not to be confused with raw shea butter. This is Melt and Pour Shea Butter
0:32
Crystal Clear Melt and Pour from Crafter's Choice, 4 ounces. 4 ounces of Crystal Clear Melt and Pour from Crafter's Choice and Shea Butter Melt and Pour
0:41
All of these are 4 ounces to equal 16 ounces. And then we have 10 to 11 ounces of Shea Butter Melt and Pour here off to the side
0:50
On our other channel, which I'll have a link to, I think, is it, no, it's that way
0:55
Please like and subscribe. This is the latest cheese board that's made with FDA safe resin
1:02
So that one takes about 12 hours to make off and on
1:06
And then we did this cute little dolphin scene. So if you want to like how to do this because Christmas is coming, this is a really easy project
1:16
It was really easy. And this one guys, I'll tell you, if you don't want to mess with resin, you could maybe
1:22
I don't know, but you could maybe use clear glue with this
1:26
I'm not sure, but maybe. Okay, so we're going to go ahead and get this melted down
1:31
Today our fragrance is going to be Baby's Breath from Bramble Berry. I can't find my aerial blue
1:36
I think I'm out. And I can't read what color this is, but it's very close to aerial blue from Stardust Micas
1:43
So I can't read this color because the name's gone. This one is going to be Pink Sunset or Watermelon
1:51
Anyway, I'll put the links to everything I'm using below in the comments. Okay, so let's get started
1:56
Okay, so these are all melted down. And if I had to guess, they're probably in the 160s to 170s
2:03
Now this is a soap technique that I read a lot and I get a lot of comments about how the soap sets so quickly and it's really hard for them to pour
2:13
This is actually a soap that if you do develop the skin, it's okay because we mush it up together
2:18
It's a soap I think I've done the last few videos, this technique on. It's my favorite technique
2:24
So we're going to go ahead and stir it. Let's just get a basic gist. Okay, so 156
2:31
What I'm going to go ahead and do is, my rule of thumb is I use 5 ml of fragrance oil per pound of soap
2:38
This is a pound of soap, and I do understand I have another 10 to 11 ounces here
2:43
But I find that this pretty much does it for the scent for the soap, so it's not too overpowering
2:49
Not only that, if you've seen my videos, I usually have a little bit left and that's
2:54
when our six cavity pink mold, the mold everyone should probably have, and I just pour the extra
2:59
into there and it's unscented, so it won't conflict with anything else that we're doing
3:04
So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to take a, this is a three cc pipette
3:08
and I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to draw up five total, five mls total, because
3:14
this right here is 12, I'm sorry, not 16, yeah, no, 16, 16 ounces
3:19
this is a pound I'm going to go ahead and just to you know just divvy it up so that we have 5 ml's
3:26
total don't do too much that was three and that's all I'm going to do so once that's that and since
3:40
this soap is under 160 I feel confident enough that it's not going to go ahead and burn off at
3:47
at this point. So I'm going to go ahead, we're going to mix our micas and then we'll start pouring
3:52
You notice that I will usually pour an opaque soap first because it takes longer to set up And then I going to test it and I pour around it I try not to pour I just don want it to muddle
4:04
So you'll notice it'll test it a little bit with some drips here before pouring on top
4:09
And so that's basically how we do this soap. So we'll go ahead and get started
4:23

It looks pretty good. We've got everything that we need out of the mold. It's a little bit of a fuss to get it out of the mold because it's a small mold. The bigger the mold, the easier it is to get the soap out
12:31
And you have to remember, if you're using that square mold, that there is a longer side
12:35
and a shorter side. And you want the longer side to cut because that's what's going to give you your four
12:40
even 1 inch marks. So again, I wanted to do one more house cleaning thing
12:47
I don't have my email on the bottom of the description anymore because I was told that
12:53
that was a way that people tried to break into your account, etc
12:57
So if you want to submit a soap for me to put on the channel like I have in the past
13:03
just go to my Facebook page and just DM me it right then and there because I can still
13:08
save it and I can still show it. I was just told that it wasn't a good idea to have my email on there and so my website's
13:16
there, everything else is there. It's just that the email I was told was probably not the best idea
13:22
So again if you guys could go to All DIY Crafts and take a look at those videos, I would really
13:27
appreciate it it's more resin art but you can also use the micas that we use in soaps and it's one of
13:33
the reasons i got started in it and then you can see how we do these two projects so let's go ahead
13:39
and we'll start cutting some soap
